Love the atmosphere, love the outdoor seating and love the quick convo. Was too busy to chat too long, but grateful for the kindness and love the chef/Owner provided. Ordered the garden bae with the housemade seitan. And as a vegan, gotta love a housemade anything!

Munchies is the Best Sandwich shop in CT! I also has vegan options! I suggest the CAVEMAN FRIES a must try! Best of the best. A staple for New Haven Food!

Best fried potatoes I've ever had. No idea how they do it but the Caveman Fries are worth the visit. I've also had 3 different subs from this spot and they were all great. Highly recommended for a no-frills fantastic food dining spot.

Me and my husband drove in from Springfield for lunch. We had seen Munchies on a food network show and said “we have to go there.” And we are so glad we did! The place is a small sub shop but boy can they cook!! There was no seating inside so maybe order ahead, lucky there were a few tables outside we were able to sit at when we went! I had the Canadian Tux.. omg it was incredible! The bread stayed toasted the whole time and that honey-bacon jam should be bottled! My husband had the chopped cheese and he loved it! We also had the caveman potatoes!!! So crispy and perfectly salted! The food was amazing. The girl at the counter could’ve smiled once, but regardless We will be taking the drive back in soon!! DEFF WORTH IT!!

The chef is an absolute artist. The flavors are extremely well balanced and perfectly portioned. Menu items are somewhat playful, very creative and intriguing while more seriously some of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

First time trying a sub sandwich from Munchies, and it was amazing! The portion was very generous and packed with bold, delicious flavor.
I can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu. Highly recommend!

I’ve eaten from here 3 times in the past two weeks and must say *CHEF’S KISS. I had the Canadian tux, el guapo, and hosoi. All were delicious. When I called for my last sandwich, the hosoi, I asked if it could be made with love and they said ABSOLUTELY! When I looked at my sandwich I saw a note from Jon that made my day! I added the photo. The staff is so friendly and they work fast. The fries are also fresh and crispy. So far my favorite is the hosoi. I got pickles on the side but was surprised by how much flavor was introduced to my taste buds when I added them. Canadian tux is a close runner up because of that amazing bacon jam! Flavors are insaneee! The el guapo was good, but i didn’t get any of the Gouda taste that I was highly anticipating. Overall, I am a forever fan of this spot. Katie and Jon, I love you guys lol
Also, this is a takeout spot. You order your food and you go! No seats.

Perfectly marinated chicken paired with bits of bacon comes together beautifully with the condiments and sauces, all tucked inside a crispy, toasted footlong bun. Shareable and allows you to try other variations too. Every bite is rich, savory, and indulgently comforting—pure heaven that makes your stomach feel warm and fuzzy on a cold winter day. Super friendly staff! ☺️ Will hope to be back to try the others.

The food smelt so good, I had to sneak a few bites before heading back to my hotel room. I travelled from Phoenix on a business trip and decided to stop by after seeing the reviews and TikToks of this place.
The hype is real, the food was great, the service was quick and the staff were warm and inviting. I ordered the Canadian Tux, the Hennessy BBQ Wings, and the peanut butter banana Chocolate chip bread pudding. The Canadian Tux was incredible, I loved the bacon jam which gave it just enough sweetness to contrast the savoryness of the sandwich. The wings I had to sneak a bit in the car, were crispy and sauced just enough for the BBQ flavor to come through without making them soggy or overly messy. Lastly was that bread pudding, it was moist (almost like a tres leches) and not too overly sweet or overwhelmingly rich despite the name. Overall this was a pleasant experience and a warm intro to the CT food scene for me!
